The Faccetta (facet) side chair is made of solid walnut with an oil finish. This piece was designed as an occasional chair, acting as a piece to either reside in the corner of a living room or front hall, or to be pulled up for additional seating in any setting.
The seat and backrest of this chair were formed through the use of a CNC to shape facets to creating a comfortable form to accommodate the body rather than curved shapes that mimic the body itself. Although this simple comfort is subtle, it adds a visual quality of planes joined together to softly welcome the human form.
